Privacy Policy

SportCircuit helps players, teams, and clubs coordinate sports activity, including registration, schedules, invitations, notifications, resources, and match scoring.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when using the app, including:

• Email address.
• First and last name.
• Club, team, player, schedule, resource, invitation, notification, and match score information you create or participate in.
• Club contact information, such as contact name, contact email, and contact phone, if you enter it for a club.
• Your private date of birth, if you provide it to establish messaging eligibility.
• Messages and group details you submit, delivery and read status, reports, blocks, and messaging preferences.

We also store authentication tokens on your device so the app can keep you signed in securely.

How We Use Information

We use this information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Let you sign in with an email verification code.
• Show your clubs, teams, schedules, invitations, notifications, and matches.
• Coordinate sports scheduling and match scoring.
• Deliver messages and check them for prohibited content before delivery.
• Review reported or flagged content and respond to safety concerns.
• Provide support and respond to feedback.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising or tracking across apps and websites.

Your information may be visible to other users when needed for the app to work, such as when your name appears on a team roster, match lineup, schedule, invitation, notification, or score sheet.

We may use service providers to host the app backend, database, email delivery, and related infrastructure. These providers process information only to operate the service.

If you use messaging, some submitted messages may be shared with OpenAI before delivery to help prevent abuse. SportCircuit administrators may access messages involved in a user report or a safety case. Recipients can keep delivered messages on their own devices, and may make independent copies such as screenshots. Your date of birth is not shown in chats.

Data Retention

We keep account and app activity information for as long as needed to provide the service, support users, resolve issues, and meet operational or legal requirements.

Message text is held temporarily in active delivery storage and is removed after the intended recipients' apps acknowledge storage, or within 30 days of submission if it cannot be delivered. Content involved in a user report or safety case may be retained as evidence for up to 30 days. Limited non-content message metadata may be retained for up to 90 days. Conversation memberships, blocks, and preferences remain while needed to operate the service. Delivered chat history is stored on participants' devices, not offered as a permanent server history archive.

Encrypted database backups may retain older copies for up to seven days before expiring. Content shared with OpenAI is also subject to its service data-handling practices.

Your Choices

You can request help with your account or ask for deletion of your information by contacting support@sportcircuit.ca.

You can clear chat history on your device or uninstall the app to remove its local history. Account deletion removes message text you authored that SportCircuit still holds on its server. It does not erase messages already stored on other participants' devices, their screenshots, or other independent copies. You can block another player and report inappropriate messages in the app.

Some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational, security, or legal reasons.

Children

SportCircuit is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13. Messaging requires a private date of birth showing that you are at least 13. This is a self-declared age check, not identity verification. Contact support to correct a date of birth locked for messaging.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS for network communication and secure device storage for authentication tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
